Author Verity Borthwick comes to writing from a background in Geology and, in our opinion, you can tell! She’s informative without ever getting too deep in the weeds and losing us. How did you find the technical aspects of this story? Did you learn something new or a new perspective on our country?

We haven’t read a lot of fiction set in Far North Queensland and some of our WellRead team have spent time living up in Cairns (we know there are some WellRead subscribers up that way too!) – how did you feel about the sense of place created in Hollow Air? If you aren’t familiar with the area, did it transport you? If you know the area well, did it ring true for you?
